NSI Minimalist Wing Harness - Made In USA
Introduced in 2021, NSI's Minimalist Wing Harness is the original low profile harness designed specifically for Wing foiling! NSI's Minimalist Wing Foiling harness is engineered without the bulky hassle of heavy, overstructured harnesses. The 2022 design is even more streamlined for slimmer, lightweight comfort, combined with stronger, reinforced attachment points.
The new design incorporates an internal 1.5" heavy duty, super durable, double webbing. The webbing belt feeds through the harness, with a 3" webbing attachment strap window in the back. This strap window attachment is part of the double webbing waist strap which provides all the strength needed to handle getting yanked or dropped.
The bomber strap window allows for the board and/or wing hook up using the included sliding loop, reel leash, or looped spectra. The removable strap also offers flexibility for buckle placement, left or right side. Multiple attachments points for kite and board leash, left, right, front, or back leash positions are possible.
A heavy duty 1-1/2" Super Step Buckle for guaranteed, reliable strength. Optional 1-1/2" curved Side Release Buckle for quick & easy on and off is available on request only and will require cutting the webbing to remove the step buckle.
Optional Stainless Steel Swivel Eye Tiger Snap Hook is available for swivel effect and single handed quick release of the leash.
The Minimalist comes complete with NSI's original softer hook design, the Wing Ding (Free) Hook, the ultimate, non-damaging spreader bar alternative! The updated hook is streamlined to 5/8" thick from the previous 3/4" for improved folding over when paddling or getting yarded. Also incorporates a smoother radius where your harness line rides.
* NOTE ON SIZING
If you find yourself between sizes we recommend sizing up to the L/XL. Reasons to size down would be to have a less padded fit, more room to slide the hook to the side, or if sharing with a smaller waist person. Most with a size 32"+ waist will prefer the fit of the L/XL.
Fitting instructions:
After sizing to your needs, belt can be trimmed and the ends burnt to keep the extra flap to a minimum. The remaining strap portion can be held to the harness with the included elastic webbing band.
** NOTE ON HOOK/SPREADER BAR
Can be used with a slotted, standard spreader bar. The NSI Minimalist Wing Harness does require slots/loops for sliding the 1.5" webbing through on both sides if using your own spreader bar.
