North Kiteboarding Code Zero    Performance Foil - Feel at one

Borrowed from our North sailing heritage, Code Zero is the name of a sail born to go fast in light, shifty conditions. Like its namesake, we've engineered this kite for performance in very light air. The Code Zero is a light, fast and reactive single-strut performer with effortless one-handed control and efficient light wind power delivery. It flies and turns quickly - with excellent drift and manoeuvrability which makes it ideal for foiling and small surf. One of the lightest single-strut kites available, the Code Zero has a playful and agile feel with dynamic steering. Refined for weight savings, we've stripped back the kite?s construction to the essential. Using lighter N-Dure Dacron on the leading edge and strut for stiffness and durability, a double-canopy layer to reinforce the trailing edge and lighter-weight bladder material in every size. DuraLite wingtip chafe protectors provide abrasion resistance only where you need it, and small battens on the 9, 10 and 11m stabilize the canopy. Super fun and easy to fly, with intuitive relaunch and reverse launch, the Code Zero is also great for learning to kite or foil in light winds. The kite is stable and evenly tensioned, with a balanced geometry. It won't luff, over-fly or front stall, and its one-handed steering means you can always foil in your preferred stance. For 2024 we've updated the Code Zero with a newly revised bridle for a more rigid feel, lighter bar pressure, more direct steering response and added stability. We've optimised the angle of attack in the wingtip and improved the tension in the trailing edge for smoother aerodynamics and reduced flutter. And we've introduced three new sizes to the range: 6, 8 and 10m. The Code Zero is a highly efficient kite with a wide wind range and impressive power delivery for a one-strut kite so you can ride lighter wind conditions with a smaller kite.
3m, 5m, 6m, 7m, 8m, 9m, 10m, 11m

Key Features:
  • N-HTRS High Performance high tenacity ripstop canopy
  • Lighter N-DURE Dacron
  • DuraLite Seam Protectors
  • Lighter weight bladders
  • Newly revised bridle
  • More sizes 6m 8m 10m 14m
  • More direct steering
  • Smoother aerodynamic efficiency
  • Stable balanced design with improved TE tension
  • Responsive power delivery in all conditions
Fast light wind performance
  • Ideal for foil and wave riding, the Code Zero has excellent drift, manoeuvrability and extremely fast, reactive steering.   Engineered for travelling at speeds so fast other kites couldn't keep up, the Code Zero has excellent drift for foiling, where you travel at very high speeds downwind and it's important the kite goes along with you.
Newly revised bridle
  • The redesigned bridle gives the kite a more rigid feel, with lighter bar pressure, more direct response and added stability.    The bridlepoints are designed to sit on the intersegments, ensuring the bridle loads through a thicker part of the LE for a more direct/solid feel. Moving the bridle toward the outside of the kite also places less load through the centre of the kite, creating more stability and lighter bar pressure. More direct steering The steering response is result of the reworked bridling. We?ve also increased the low end slightly while maintaining responsiveness.
More sizes for 2024
  • We've added in three new sizes: 6m, 8m and 10m. If you're <70kg and hydrofoiling, you won?t need bigger than an 8m  even in the lightest winds.
One of the lightest single-strut kites ever designed
  • In light wind kiting, you want to go out using the smallest possible kite in the least amount of wind to keep the kite flying. The less weight it has, the easier it is to fly. We wanted to see how light you could go without losing performance or making it too fragile. Engineered using the lightest materials possible, we've taken a minimalist approach  there's nothing on it you don't need. This helps contribute to the Code Zero's playful, agile feel and fun, dynamic steering.
DuraLite Reinforcement
  • The only added reinforcements are the Duralite seam protectors on the wingtip and the center strut, providing abrasion resistance only where you need it.
2-Ply Canopy Trailing Edge reinforcement
  • A double layer of canopy material at the trailing edge provides optimal tension in the canopy shape, keeping it as smooth as possible and helping the kite to fly faster through the sky. Two layers of canopy material are softer than using a single-ply reinforcement material, allowing the kite to twist better and be more responsive. Small battens stabilize the canopy and counter flutter on sizes 9m, 10m, 11m and 14m
Lighter N-MAX Dacron
  • 12 % Lighter and 21 % less elongation compared to standard Dacron (156gsm).    We've used lighter weight N-Max Dacron in the leading edge and strut for stiffness and durability. The N-Max ensures the airframe meets the structural demands without adding unnecessary weight. Using a lighter Dacron on the leading edge and struts saves a significant amount of weight, without compromising strength or durability. The Dacron has a more balanced weave for a crisp, lively feel. The symmetrical yarn pattern gives the material a lower bias elongation that snaps back to its original shape faster. This provides the kite with a crisp response, more direct steering and more dynamic recovery.
Lighter weight bladders
  • We've chosen a lighter weight bladder material to match the refined lighter construction method. These ingredients combine for a super lightweight kite with the fastest response and turning speeds possible.
Ride lighter wind conditions with a smaller kite
  • With responsive power delivery in light, shifty conditions, the Code Zero is highly efficient, and it reacts super direct on steering impulses. The Code Zero has a wide wind range and impressive power for a one-strut kite. It depends on the size, but it performs best in its low-end range, and will carry you through the lulls and gusts. When you're riding with more wind, the smaller sizes will open the world of foil freestyle. The kite is lighter and faster through the window, making it fun for performing tricks.
Easy relaunch and reverse launch
  • Curved leading edge profile means less surface area touching the water surface, for fast, headache-free launching.
N-HTRS High Performance Canopy Material
  • All our kites are constructed using high tenacity polyester yarn ripstop canopy for lightness, high tear strength, zero porosity and longevity
HyperFlow rapid single-point inflation
  • Ergonomic high volume single point inflation system with large diameter hose for rapid inflation and deflation.  The cap and valve base geometry are optimised for more comfortable opening and closing in colder conditions (when your fingers are freezing). The bayonet style main inflation valve is compatible with most pumps - no adapter required.
Compact, travel-friendly size
  • Your lightweight Code Zero packs down into a high-quality Recycled PET kite bag with Foil Assist. The recycled polyester ripstop fabric meets the Global Recycling Standard. The Kite Bag features a comfortable STPU padded area with groove designed especially for carrying a foil mast over your shoulder.  It also features mesh windows for ventilation, zipper pockets for spare parts and storage, a Control System pocket and kite pump holder.
